Reflection

 

            The Task was to create a wiki that could be used in the class room, in completing this task I was faced with a few hurdles, creating the wiki to begin with, and next uploading the video to the wiki, but thanks to friends and classmates who had some knowledge on the topic, I was able to get over my hurdles after countless attempts. I think with time and practice my wiki will improve because I have not yet figured out all that you can and cannot do with this software.   To view my wiki you can click on the link below.

            The task of given to create a video to support the lesson plan and the activity produce earlier. The piece will be used to elaborate the fact that all drawing that are three dimensional are in fact an isometric drawing regardless of its shape and size by showing different types of drawings. In creating this piece I encountered some challenges, since this was my first time using this program, I found it difficult manipulation some of the functions timing the video and editing the audio but with the help of friends and classmate I was able to overcome these hurdles. My piece could have been better if I had a more suitable topic and better software to work with; both gave little room to be creative. Videos can be used to improve classroom instruction by assisting the teacher to cater for those students who are visual learns and help them to grasp the concept being taught easier. It also helps to keep the students captivated in what is going on in the classroom.

Thanks to this blogging system, i now have a new and improve method of transferring knowledge to my students. i can now use the world wide wed to download different methods of constructing a wide array of shapes and solids in technical drawing then send then directly to my students.It also give the students a different  approach to learning , rather than the traditional chalk and talk, i can now grasp their full attention by using different learning tools such as a video, and for me that's a slam dunk.
